The spread of the British coronavirus mutation is increasing in North Macedonia. The most relevant laboratory in the country located at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU) has confirmed more than 50 cases of the British mutation in a very short time frame. The numbers of newly infected and hospitalized patients with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are again showing growth in several cities in the country. Ο Εθνικός Οργανισμός Δημόσιας Υγείας (ΕΟΔΥ) ανακοίνωσε το απόγευμα της Παρασκευής (12/2) ότι τα νέα εργαστηριακά επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα του κορονοϊού σήμερα είναι 1410, εκ των οποίων κανένα δεν εντοπίστηκε σε ελέγχους στις πύλες εισόδου της χώρας. Τα 762 κρούσματα, εντοπίστηκαν στην Αττική.
Ο συνολικός αριθμός των κρουσμάτων ανέρχεται σε 170244 (ημερήσια μεταβολή +0.8%), εκ των οποίων 51.9% άνδρες.
Οι νέοι θάνατοι ασθενών με COVID-19 είναι 21, ενώ από την έναρξη της επιδημίας έχουν καταγραφεί συνολικά 6077 θάνατοι. Η διάμεση ηλικία των ασθενών που απεβίωσαν είναι 79 έτη. Ο αριθμός των ασθενών που νοσηλεύονται διασωληνωμένοι είναι 293 (72.7% άνδρες).
